The Binder Fitness Center is on its way to a face-lift. The Code Blue Challenge is kicking off the initiative to engage alumni in the efforts.
When a "Code Blue" is called for a sports team, it is an initiative to encourage all students to attend that event- each sports team is given one "Code Blue" game each year, and show great support around campus for the Hawks. The Code Blue Challenge is an initiative to engage alumni in Hartwick Athletics and inform them of the Binder Fitness Center renovations, as part of the Campaign for Hartwick Students.
On November 14, 2013, the "clock" will start on the Challenge and for one week, all gifts made to the Binder Locker Room Renovations will be tallied. Each sports team will be competing for the highest amount raised, and the largest team participation rate. When the clock stops on November 21st, numbers will be posted and shared. The teams who raise the most in that week, as well as have the highest participation rate will be recognized via signage upon completion of the renovations.
